Corrugated box strength is measured two main ways: Edge Crush Test (ECT) for stacking strength and Mullen burst test for puncture resistance. Flute type sets cushioning and thickness. Match these to your product and shipping. Speak with a packaging expert for a fast, no-obligation quote.

How is corrugated box strength measured?
ECT gauges how much stacking force the edge bears, which matters for palletized, warehoused goods. Burst gauges puncture resistance for rough handling and heavy contents. Spec to how your boxes are actually stacked and shipped.

What do flute types A, B, C and E mean?
A-flute is thickest for cushioning, C-flute is the all-purpose shipping standard, B-flute is rigid and prints well, and E-flute is thin and smooth for retail graphics. Double-wall adds strength for heavy loads. Get help on our quote page, or read the Fibre Box Association.
