Sales Account Executive – President Container Group

A leading independent manufacturer of Corrugated Packaging (Sheets, Boxes, Trays, Partitions, Displays, etc..) is seeking full time Sales Account Executives to grow our businesses in new territories (Philadelphia PA area ; Lower CT; Long Island, NY and NYC/Boroughs).

The manufacturing arm of PCG, is one of the largest corrugated manufacturers in North America (with a facility in Orange County, NY in excess of 625,000 SqFt.)
Our state-of-the-art facility has some of the most up-to-date machinery in the industry, producing in excess of 2.5 billion square feet of corrugated each year. PCG is committed to producing sustainable packaging that is clean, safe, and protects the environment and the communities in which we live.
President Industrial Products (PIP),
Based in Moonachie, NJ, acts as a distribution arm to PCG, with product lines that diversify the PCG corrugated offering. In its 150K Square Foot facility, PIP stocks over 1,400 items including boxes and packaging supplies (Stretch Wrap, Tape, Mailers, etc.) and services 2,500+ customers in the NY/NJ area.
Account Executives will be responsible for growing business for both PCG and PIP in their designated territories.
Position Summary:
Responsible for the selling and servicing of existing PCG and PIP accounts and for the development of new accounts.
- Responsibilities:
- Target and develop new accounts, promoting/selling both PCG and PIP product lines
- Develop and maintain industry and product knowledge to become expert in the field
- Sell to and service existing accounts through client interaction to include regular contact and customer visits
- Grow product item count at existing accounts
- Develop territory via mining prospects and cold call conversion
- Utilizing the established company pricing/profitability models, create and maintain customer pricing and work autonomously
- As the customer account manager, maintain ‘customer health’ including communication with internal departments (customer service, A/R, shipping)
- Comfortable being mentored by other company Account Executives
- Additional duties as required
- Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Valid driver license, safe driving record, and ability to drive
- Able to load and unload samples from vehicle
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Additional Skills / Preferences:
- College degree, preferably in Business Management / Communications
- Experience using Oracle NetSuite
- Two years outside selling experience
- Experience in the corrugated box / shipping supply industry
